Quote from Hui-k’ung:
Everywhere is where followers of the Way lay down their lives. Everywhere is where followers of the Way tune their minds… Everywhere is not everywhere; it is called everywhere.
I often see students who are narrow-minded, who gain a little bit in a limited context, with limited perspective, and consider this enough, immediately insisting on stopping and resting.
This sounds very similar to how many students first approach our programs at Weightlifting Academy.
A question was asked recently, “Are all of your workouts really 3 hours?”
No. But many are. And our best lifters put in 10 to 20 hours of hard physical training per week. That’s about average for great athletes across the world, and across sports.
Looking for a secret, a trick, some limited “way” is not the way.
There are no secrets. Try harder.
Now go lift something heavy (often),
