Today, let’s learn how to avoid death (at least for now). Missing a snatch behind you is easy, but it’s scary at first. Because of this, you have to PRACTICE failing. So after you learn how to do this, practice it with light weights, many many many times
There are 3 rules:
- Arms LOCKED at all times during the miss (just like a snatch lockout).
- Hips forwards (this gets your lower spine out of the way of the falling barbell!)
- Go FAST!
Again, keep your arms locked HARD and STRAIGHT the whole time, shoot your hips forward, and go fast as hell.
